About me

I’m Loren, a Cinematographer and Lighting Designer currently based in Los Angeles, CA. I grew up in the redwood forests of Santa Cruz, where I fell in love with filmmaking at a young age. Since moving to LA, I have obtained a B.A. in TV Production from Cal State University, Northridge, as well as an A.S. degree in Film Production from Santa Monica College. I now work full-time as a cinematographer and gaffer.

I have always held a deep love for visual storytelling, and crafting stories through light and lens is my specialty. For me, filmmaking is more than a technical art - it is a powerful vehicle for compassion. Being able to immerse the audience into the world of a film, and have them empathize with characters that may have widely different lives than themselves, is the greatest power of the art form. 

I specialize in shooting/lighting music videos, films, and commercials. I have worked on music videos with artists from James Blake to Joey Bada$$. My filmography includes Documentary, feature films, TV Pilots, and short films alike. In the commercial space, I have worked with brands such as Riot Games (League of Legends), Esports teams, Amazon products, Boba & Tea companies, Real Estate companies, and much more! When it comes to videography services, I typically film at weddings, live concerts/DJ Sets. 

I can also provide lighting services/expertise for live event spaces. I have worked with NANLUX to provide live event lighting solutions for events such as Cinegear Expo, the EMA awards, Film/Fashion events, and concerts alike.
